| [Objective]?This study aims to investigate the clinical efficacy of Moist Exposed Burn Ointment (MEBO) in the treatment of postoperative wounds in patients with perianal fistulizing Crohn's disease. [Methods]?A total of 82 patients with perianal fistulizing Crohn's disease, treated at the Guanggu Campus of Hubei Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine between June 2023 and May 2025 were selected and randomly divided into an observation group and a control group, with 41 patients in each group. Both groups underwent surgery performed by the same supervisor. Postoperatively, bowel movements were controlled for 48 hours. After defecation, all patients received 15-minute sitz baths with the hospital-prepared anti-inflammatory and analgesic lotion for hemorrhoids, followed by wound cleaning with normal saline. The control group was treated with Vaseline gauze for wound packing, while the observation group was treated with MEBO gauze. Dressing changes were performed until wound healing was achieved. The quality of granulation tissue growth, wound exudate levels, pain and edema scores, and inflammatory cytokine levels were observed and compared between the two groups.[Results](1) The total clinical effective rate in the observation group was 92.7%, significantly higher than the 80.5% in the control group, with a statistically significant difference (P<0.05). After two weeks of treatment, the granulation tissue growth quality score in the observation group was superior to that of the control group, with a statistically significant difference (P<0.05).(2) After treatment, the semi-quantitative wound exudate score in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group, with a statistically significant difference (P<0.05).(3) The levels of inflammatory cytokines, as well as pain and edema scores, in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, with statistically significant differences (P<0.05).[Conclusion]?In the repair of postoperative wounds in patients withperianal fistulizing Crohn’s disease, MEBO gauze can more effectively enhance wound healing speed, reduce postoperative pain, edema, and inflammation, and promote rapid wound healing. |
