| ?Adipose plasticity refers to the characteristic of adipose tissue to undergo interconversion among white adipose tissue (WAT), brown adipose tissue (BAT), and beige adipose tissue, as well as alterations in its intrinsic metabolic functions, under the influence of internal and external environmental changes. This property plays a critical role in regulating energy metabolism and maintaining systemic homeostasis. This study explores the Yin-Yang attributes and dynamic transformation mechanisms of adipose tissue from the perspective of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Yin-Yang transformation theory. It elucidates the intrinsic relationship between Yin-Yang imbalance and metabolic disorders, thereby providing novel insights for the prevention and treatment of obesity and other metabolic diseases. |
