En Abstract:
Grounded in the "Qi-harmonization dysfunction" theory, this study investigates the pathophysiological mechanisms and TCM intervention patterns of immune microenvironment abnormalities in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). The research posits that while COPD originates in the lungs, its root lies in the imbalance of qi circulation among the three vital organs (lungs, spleen, and kidneys). This dysfunction disrupts the ascending and descending flow of clear yang and turbid yin, leads to phlegm-stasis accumulation, and compromises the body"s defensive qi, ultimately forming a unified pathological process characterized by qi-harmonization disorders and immune homeostasis disruption. The qi-harmonization dysfunction reflects systemic imbalance in energy metabolism and immune response, persisting throughout disease progression, exacerbation, and recurrence. TCM addresses this through "restoring qi-harmonization" via multi-dimensional interventions including qi regulation, spleen-strengthening, dampness elimination, lung-promotion, and blood circulation enhancement. These approaches aim to restore the proper flow of qi and achieve yin-yang balance and immune self-regulation. The qi-harmonization regulation embodies TCM"s holistic, bidirectional, and dynamic therapeutic principles, which align with modern systems biology concepts of multidimensional coupling and self-regulating homeostasis. This integration provides novel systematic frameworks and theoretical foundations for TCM management of chronic airway inflammatory diseases.
