      Objective? To analyze the medication patterns of Professor Li Jiyan in the treatment of chronic atrophic gastritis (CAG) using data mining techniques, and to summarize his clinical experience.Methods? A total of 232 medical records of CAG patients treated by Professor Li Jiyan in the outpatient clinic from April 2025 to April 2026 were collected to establish a database. The Ancient and Modern Medical Records Cloud Platform was used to conduct frequency analysis of Chinese herbs, analysis of nature, flavor and meridian tropism, association rule analysis, complex network analysis, and cluster analysis. Results? Among the 232 CAG patients, the peak age of onset was 50–69 years, with females slightly outnumbering males. The most common syndrome was qi stagnation and turbid stasis syndrome (40.95%), followed by cold-heat and turbid stasis syndrome (25.00%), and all syndromes shared “turbidity and stasis” as the common pathological basis. The most frequently used herbs were Smilax glabra (93.10%), Radix Pseudostellariae (90.95%), Aucklandia lappa (89.66%), Endoconcha Sepiae (85.34%), and Forsythia suspensa (84.91%). The medicinal properties were predominantly warm and neutral; the flavors were mainly sweet, bitter, and acrid; and the meridian tropism chiefly focused on the spleen, lung, liver, and stomach meridians. Association rule and complex network analyses revealed a core herbal combination consisting of Smilax glabra, Radix Pseudostellariae, and Aucklandia lappa, forming a central framework of “supplementing qi and invigorating the spleen — regulating qi and resolving turbidity — detoxifying and draining dampness.”
