| Objective To observe the clinical efficacy and regulation mechanism of the Yangxue Shufeng Formula in the treatment of patients with chronic urticaria. Methods A total of 140 patients with chronic urticaria admitted to the People''s Hospital of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region from January 2025 to June 2026 were selected and divided into control group and observation group according to the random number table method, with 70 cases per group. Patients received oral desloratadine citrate tablets, 1 tablet per dose, once daily in control group. Patients in the observation group received oral Yangxue Shufeng Formula, 1 dose per day, taken in the morning and evening. Both groups were treated for 4 weeks. The clinical efficacy, symptom and sign scores, serum levels of interferon-γ (IFN-γ), interleukin-2 (IL-2), interleukin-4 (IL-4), and immunoglobulin E (IgE), urticaria activity score (UAS) , dermatology life quality index (DLQI), mRNA levels of Toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4), myeloid differentiation factor 88 (MyD88), and nuclear factor-κB (NF-κB), as well as the incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results There was a higher clinical total effective rate in the observation group than in the control group (P<0.05). After treatment, the symptom and sign scores, serum levels of IL-4, IgE, UAS score, DLQI score and mRNA levels of TLR4, MyD88, and NF-κB were lower than post-treatment in both groups (P<0.05), and observation group was lower than control group (P<0.05). Levels of IFN-γ and IL-2 were elevated than post?treatment in both groups (P<0.05), and observation group was higher than control group (P<0.05). There was no statistically significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups (P>0.05). Conclusion Yangxue Shufeng Formula has a significant therapeutic effect on chronic urticaria. It can alleviate immune inflammatory responses and improve the clinical symptoms and quality of life of patients with chronic urticaria by inhibiting TLR4/MyD88/NF-κB pathway. |
